Hello there! Let me introduce myself. My name is Sharon, and I currently work as a nurse educator and lactation consultant for a hospital as well as my private business as a prenatal educator and IBCLC.
Due to classes being moved to Zoom, I have been able to have you join in to meet your community experience hours.
Some of classes may be for students only, but presented as I do for parents. They are 2.5 hrs. each; you will need 5 hrs. total. You will be sent the link once payment is made.

Breastfeeding: Beyond the Basics
We will explore topics from anatomy and physiology, getting the best start, reading baby's cues, optimizing latch and milk removal, pumping, nutrition and more.

Special Session Designed for Students
The Savvy Birth Workshop for parents was developed by Evidence Based Birth® to give parents the confidence and know-how they need to have a more positive, empowering experience in the birthing room.
Learning Objectives Include:
-Define evidence-based care
-Discuss the availability and pros/cons of local birth options
-Practice respectful ways to talk with your provider
-Discuss how partners, doulas, and nurses can work together to provide labor support
-Discuss the human and legal rights of birthing persons

Newborn and Infant Care Class
We will explore topics from newborn capabilities, the fourth trimester environment and soothing techniques, feeding and sleeping patterns, newborn appearance and hospital procedures,and other tips to ease into parenthood.

- Wednesday July 20th from 6-8:30 PM

If you are in need of a recorded class, I have a 3 hour Lamaze childbirth class 3 (medical interventions) that I presented to an expecting couple as well as a 2.5 hour Newborn and Infant Care Class that was presented to a group of West Coast nursing students. Fee: 20.00 each
Please check with your professors as some require a live class fo credit. The process to register and pay is the same. Complete the form below and in the section asking for the class date fill in "recorded class".
The link will be sent after payment is received (usually within hours, but 24 hours maximum). Then, complete and send your form for signature.
Attendance will be taken and class forms will be signed after class completion. Please email your form with your name and the class date(s) attended by the day of your final class to ensure receiving it back in a timely manner; usually within 48 hrs. The form is 316L found in your online documents from your professor.
